  17. <p>    One is human, the other isn't -- but both LILY TOMLIN and
  18. mascot GREEN BONHOMME can be spotted this August at the Montreal
  19. comedy festival, the Cannes of professional cutups. Tomlin, who
  20. will be the host of the conclave's cable-TV finale, traces her
  21. spotlight fever to childhood. "I would put on my mother's slip
  22. and do a ballet, throw pearls around my neck and play `Lily on
  23. The Ed Sullivan Show,' do a magic trick. Years later, people
  24. told me I was the first performance artist."
